Volunteering

We understand that not everyone is able to support with money, yet still want to be involved. Help with delivery, facilitation and growing networks is greatly welcomed.

Volunteering your time for a charity, community interest group, or business can be a good way to find out more about that industry, cause or be an opportunity to give back to something you believe in.

If you are a young person

Check out our Youth Led project work. Have you ever thought about becoming a Young Ambassador? Join our Youth Advisory Group (YAG). Find out more here.

If you work or own a business:

There are opportunities for you to volunteer your time and expertise to help potential future workers.  This can be participating in school and careers events to participating in our Live Chat a Rural Worker programme.

Please get in touch to discuss what you might like to be involved in.

Interested in Volunteering Directly for Countryside Learning Scotland:

We are always keen to hear from anyone who wants to learn more about our work.  Please get in touch and we will see how we can get you involved.

Interested in volunteering with a rural related business:

Volunteering or getting a work placement with a rural related business can be a good way to learn more about that industry or skills needed.  Check out our Sector Specific Job Sites section on the resources page to get ideas of where to look for advertised volunteer positions.

You can also approach local charities and business to enquire if there are any volunteering positions or opportunities directly.
