Youth Led

Empowering Young Voices to Shape Our Work and the future of rural scotland

The Youth Led Project is a three-year project that launched in 2025. Funded by the Young Start National Lottery Community Fund, the project will focus on establishing a strong youth voice within what is, and has been, a traditionally older, male-dominated space. In doing so, bringing contemporary ideas and cultural change to the heart of what we do.

Join YAG

We are currently looking for young people across Scotland to become our Young Ambassadors. Join YAG today!

By recruiting a Youth Advisory Group of young volunteers across Scotland, we hope to establish a strong youth voice within our organisation. The group will inspire and inform the direction that we take as a charity moving forward into the future.

The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) will act as Young Ambassadors for Countryside Learning Scotland, promoting the work that we do and working alongside our Youth Led Project Coordinator.

Together they will co-design methods to expand and improve our outreach, engaging with new audiences and more young people across Scotland.

The project will empower young voices through a range of social, skills and professional development activities that will benefit the Young Ambassadors.

Current Work

⭐ Since the last phase of recruitment in May 2026, the YAG have been discussing issues that affect them as young people. Lack of connectivity to work experience opportunities has been highlighted and will be a key topic for the YAG to develop.
