"We are the Countryside Learning Youth Advisory Group, a panel of passionate young people aged 14–25 from across Scotland.
We work alongside Countryside Learning Scotland as Young Ambassadors, promoting rural education, careers, and training opportunities in secondary schools."
Susie Bridgestock, YAG member
"Together, we help shape how rural education is delivered, provide input on programs and qualifications, and even get access to funded training opportunities.
Right now, we’re also exploring which sectors in rural business are the hardest to get into and why—so we can figure out how to make them more accessible for young people like us.
So, we would like your opinion on how we can change these opportunities for the better."

Our Youth Advisory Group is needing your help…
The group has been working hard to find ways to gather information on the rural and outdoor sectors so they can understand more and find opportunities to make it better for young people.
They have created a short questionnaire available to be complete by people working in a rural related business.
‘Rural related’ can refer to land-based industries, environmental, renewables and much more. We are even calling for information from linked businesses such as rural services – vets, childcare, book keeping etc.
